There are spots available in all enrichment classes except for Kidstage (both the Monday and Wednesday classes are full).

Remember some of our vendors require you to register by mail, email or phone.
Complete and turn in the Release of Liability and Emergency Form to the school office no later than Friday, September 22. Enrichment Classes begin the week of September 25 and will end the week December 4 (please see class details for specific dates).
All scholarship requests are due in the school office by Friday, September 15. Please remember to register with vendor before submitting your scholarship request.

Park Hill Community:
GPHC will be continuing the weekend food program this school year, in an effort to reduce food insecurity for students and provide additional nutritional support to help them be successful at school. The program provides a bag of food consisting of two breakfasts, two snacks, and at least two lunch items, including a fruit and a vegetable. Bags will be delivered to Park Hill Elementary on Thursdays for distribution to children on Thursday and/or Friday at the end of the school day.
Every student at Park Hill Elementary is able to participate in the program. We only require a parent/guardian signature on the parent/guardian consent form to enroll in our program. Any family with a student at Park Hill Elementary may opt in or out of the program as they wish.

*Calling All Volunteers! Park Hill Elementary is collaborating with GPHC Food Pantry to help with the weekend food program this school year. We need your help to ensure food bags be delivered to the school so our kids can take them home! Please go HERE for more details and to sign up to volunteer.
In addition, in our ongoing commitment to support the Greater Park Hill Foodbank, we will be collecting canned foods and dry goods in a bin (see picture) located in the cafeteria.

PLEASE READ – Attendance and Tardy Expectations Clarification for all Parents
Please review our attendance and tardy expectations:
If your child is late, in order for them to have an excused tardy, it is required that parents/guardians come into the office with your child to sign them in for the day. Any student, who comes in late due to a dental or doctor appointment, will need a note from the dentist or doctor’s office.
Please call the main school phone number, 720-424-4910, or use the phone app. to report an absence for the day letting us know your child’s name, classroom teacher, and reason for absence. Also, call the school office if you are going to be more than 15 minutes late at the beginning of the school day.
If your child is going to be away from school for more than a day, we need that information in writing turned into the office before you leave.
Please help us keep your children safe and record accurate records of students each day. Thank you for your assistance with our attendance policy.

Park Hill will be hosting a Kindness Campaign movie showing on Thursday, September 21 from 5:30-7:00 pm in the Park Hill Elementary Auditorium.
The event is open to all Park Hill students and families (the content in this film is intended for 3rd grade students and older). The purpose of this event is to build community, strengthen our “getting along skills,” and continue to prepare our students for middle school and beyond!

Mark your calendars for our Park Hill School Spirit Week – September 25-29! This is an opportunity for our students – plus teachers and staff – to show their pride in our school and community. Please remind your student that they can wear school-appropriate accessories/outfits for each of the following theme days:

Direct Giving Fundraiser and Community Event
Join us TONIGHT, Friday September 15, for Park Hill Direct Giving Night! This is your opportunity to support your child’s tangible classroom needs and teacher wish list(s) DIRECTLY. Every dollar you donate is applied to your child’s class THIS YEAR. So, please support our classrooms! This is an important fundraiser for Park Hill Elementary, so if you are not able to make our event, please donate online by visiting https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=QYBPETZLK7DEJ. This event will be on the Park Hill Elementary blacktop and field. We have more food trucks this year (Hamburghini, Seasoned Swine BBQ, Allegra’s Pizza, and WOW! Frozen Yogurt), so lines should move more quickly. In addition, for the first time we will have two balloon artists, courtesy of your PTSA. And as always, we’ll have three bounce houses for different size kiddos, manned by our very own Student Council leaders. The Secret Life of Pets will be shown on the field, starting after 7:00 (based on sunset). Bring your blankets and chairs, and invite your friends, family, and neighbors. This free event is open to our entire community! *No dogs or open container allowed on school property. See you there!

Building on the success of last year’s school store, we are pleased to announce the opening of the online store for fall 2017. Browse the store and choose from a variety of men’s, women’s, and kids wear. There are sweatshirts, tees, 3/4 sleeve, long sleeve, fleece, active wear and more. The prices are attractive as well. Orders must be placed by Sept. 20, 2017 and ALL orders will be delivered to the school and available for pickup near the beginning of October.
Please note that many of the items include children’s sizing as well even if the description does not say “Youth”. In addition, it was brought to our attention that the ladies active wear sizes seemed to run on the small side. In addition, the checkout page asks for the “Team Name” and the “Coaches Name”. You may fill this with any text as it does not apply nor will it be printed on your order.
Come one, come all – it is almost time to start the extensive planning for this school year’s PTSA Auction! This year’s kick-off meeting will be on Sunday October 8 at 4:00 p.m. at Station 26 Brewery (7045 E. 38th Avenue). There are many opportunities to volunteer in a variety of capacities — helping acquire auction items, marketing the event, obtaining sponsors, etc. It is also a great way to meet and have some fun with other members of the Park Hill community, so please join us to learn what you can do to help!

FREE WEEKEND FOOD FOR YOUR CHILD AVAILABLE THROUGH GREATER PARK HILL COMMUNITY Greater Park Hill Community (GPHC) is teaming up with the staff of Park Hill Elementary to offer nutritious meals and snacks for children over the weekends and extended school breaks. Any child who is enrolled at Park Hill Elementary is able to receive these free weekly bags of food. If you believe your child could benefit from this program, please complete the consent form below. Only one form is needed per family, but please include information for each of your children who are students at Park Hill Elementary. This form is kept confidential between Park Hill Elementary and GPHC. Once we receive the completed form, your child will receive bags of food each week until you no longer wish to participate or your child leaves the school.
