HELP PHE GET MORE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL

Park Hill Elementary school is working with Denver’s Departments of Public Works and Environmental Health on a Safe Routes to School program. The Safe Routes to School grant provides both educational and infrastructure opportunities. Our change.org community petition to Implement Traffic Calming Measure in Park Hill suggests infrastructure improvements including: flashing lights, additional stop signs at intersections, and “Yield to Pedestrians It’s the Law” signage.  The educational portion of the grant will include library resources and partnering with a nonprofit for a student safety educational program.

In order to be eligible for the SRTS grant we need a significant response from the PHE community. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey so we can reach our goal!

We need your help to secure this grant!

GREATER PARK HILL FOOD BANK

This holiday season the Greater Park Hill Food Bank will be providing Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of families, including many from our own school community.

In our ongoing commitment to support the Greater Park Hill Foodbank, and to help them prepare for Thanksgiving, we will be collecting canned foods and dry goods in a red wagon (see picture) located in the hallway outside the cafeteria.

Thank you in advance for your donations!
