A message from Principal Burdette
Believe it or not, the school year is almost over and it is time to start preparing for the 2018-2019 school year. After careful consideration, we have decided to change our approach to ordering the Student School Supplies. Our Leadership team has worked to implement a very specific plan with our academic scheduling and organization, and the school supplies that students use play an important part in this. For example, we intentionally use only red folders for reading and blue folders for math. This is part of our school-wide AVID plan.
So what does this mean for you as parents? We are still offering you the opportunity to buy your school supplies through the school and the PTSA, and go to site strongly encourage you to do this. It is my hope that all parents take advantage of this opportunity. The cost for your student’s supplies will be go here $40. This is significantly cheaper than doing your own shopping in August, and it saves you valuable time. It will also ensure that students have the correct supplies (colored folders, expo markers, etc.) that each student will need in 2018-2019. We will order bulk supplies this May from our suppliers, which is why the cost is much better than individual shopping.
We are asking that parents pay the $40 cost by May 31 (last day of school). The cost will increase to $45 after the May 31 deadline. You can purchase all your students’ supplies online using a credit card or electronic check at iheartparkhill.com. You can also pay by cash or check by returning the attached order form with your payment to the black PTSA mailbox in the front office by Ms. Ann.
Thank you in advance. By taking care of this now, you will not need to worry about purchasing individual school supplies in August – we have you and your child covered. (See order form near the end of the bulletin)
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask me or speak to your child’s teacher.
