Happy Friday Park Hill Families!

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall weather and foliage! As the weather turns, we see more families choose to use their vehicles to drop off students. The area around the school can get quite congested around drop off and pick up times. A few suggestions:

  • If you are dropping off students, please use the Kiss and Drop lane on the West side of the school on Elm St. Dropping off in other places can lead to traffic snarls and force kids into crossing streets in an unsafe manner. The Kiss and Drop lane is supervised by an adult and staffed by our 5th grade students to make sure your children get onto the playground in a safe manner.

  • In general, please drive slowly, especially around the school grounds. Our streets are busy and kids can be hard to see and sometimes don’t follow traffic rules.

  • We have ample bike parking and love to see our students roll into school! Our sunny Colorado weather allows biking/skateboarding/scootering on most days.

  • If you are parking and walking your kids to the school, please allow a few extra minutes to park in an appropriate spot and follow traffic rules. We want to be a good neighbor and we have children and staff that require the use of handicapped and near to school parking.

Thanks for your assistance and enjoy the weekend!

Entering Cold and Flu season

We have seen increasing cases of colds, the Flu, and Strep in the school over the past 2 weeks. Teachers and staff continue our policies from last year to vigorously clean and sanitize our spaces. We ask that if your child has a fever or is exhibiting new symptoms that students stay home until symptoms have improved and have no fever for 24 hours without medications.

School Sponsorship

We love our community and have openings for community businesses to sponsor Park Hill Elementary for this academic year. Do you have a business or know of someone who does? There are four levels of sponsorship with different benefits associated with each. Please see this document for more information and email sponsorship@parkhillptsa.com if you are interested in becoming a sponsor or know of someone who might be.
