TONIGHT! Direct Giving Party & Movie Night | SING 2!
The party starts at 5:30pm, with the movie at sunset. There will be food trucks (Yuan Wonton, OG Burgers and Black Diamond Apizza, Ba-Nom-a-Nom), bounce houses, and SING 2 will play on a huge screen in the grass (bring blankets and/or chairs). This is also an opportunity to donate money directly toward your teacher’s wish list items, to be used during the 2022/23 school year. Note: This is a Direct Giving event. You can donate at any time at the event or before, by going to this link:

HGT/GT testing for grades 1,3,4 and 5
The fall testing nomination window is now open through October 14. The application is available online at http://gt.dpsk12.org. Near the top of the page, you should see ‘HGT Testing Nomination Process’. The link to apply for the test will be in that section.
This nomination form is for families seeking Gifted and Talented (GT) identification and/or placement at a Highly Gifted and Talented (HGT) Magnet Site. This series of cognitive tests provide us with information for potential HGT or GT identification. Qualifying scores will be put into a body of evidence. Remember the deadline for applications is October 14, 2022.
All kindergarteners and 2nd graders in DPS are given an HGT/GT screening test and therefore do not need to apply.
Contact Mary Lauth, Park Hill GT teacher, with questions.

Note from Mrs. McClelland:
In music class, the primary grades are exploring music from all over the world. At Park Hill, we would love to honor the cultures represented in our student population and community. If you, or someone you know, can help guide Mrs. McClelland, please reach out to her via email Lauren_McClelland@dpsk12.net.
Job opening at Park Hill!
Interested in jumping into a fast moving, exciting position that works with your student’s schedule? Park Hill is looking to hire an office support person for Tuesdays and Thursdays (and potentially additional hours depending on flexibility). The Office team works directly with school administration, teachers, and students to support the daily needs of the school including enrolling and registering students, website and newsletter development, providing support to families, supporting the nurse, helping with school events, and so much more! You would work along with one or two other Office support members each day along with our Administrators in a fun, supportive atmosphere and initial training would be provided. If you think you might be interested in the position or have any questions, please reach out to Principal Burdette or the front office team members for more details.
Reminder: School Tours starting in October
PTSA volunteers and staff members will be leading school tours for prospective families starting October 12th at 9:30am. If you have neighbors, friends, or family who might be interested in a Tour, encourage them to signup on the parkhillelementary.org website events page.
